Gazprombank


GazprombankGazprombank is the largest Russian non-state owned bank, which is among the three largest banks in Russia. It is a joint stock bank founded in 1990. The bank is owned by the Russian gas company Gazprom, which controls 62.59 percent of shares directly and remained shares through its subsidiaries (Gazfond, Gazprom Export etc). In November 2006, Gazprombank announced that it could hold an initial public offering of its shares on Russian and foreign stock exchanges in the fall of 2007.

Gazprombank is going to establish an affiliated financial company in London in 2008. Presence in London will allow the bank to provide its clients with the full service and instruments of the international capital markets. Prior to joining Gazprombank Ulrich Gerza worked as Managing Director for the investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort in London. Together with him 4 other professionals have joined Gazprombank and will be working with Ulrich.
